The film is the official remake of the Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo starring Allu Arjun. The first look video introduces Kartik as Bantu, a massy action hero. The film directed by Rohit Dhawan also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead. The film will be released on February 10, 2023
Before Shehzada, Kartik will be seen in the romantic thriller, Freddy which will see him in a completely new avatar. The film which also stars Alaya F has opted for a direct to digital release
