Mahira Khan got married to her longtime boyfriend Salim Karim in an intimate wedding on October 1

Salim is Mahira`s second husband. The actress was previously married to Ali Askari. They tied the knot in 2007 and got divorced in 2015. The couple`s son Azlaan was born in 2009

Most recently, Mahira gave a glimpse into her mehendi ceremony and her outfit for the same

"Right before we were heading down.. Asim put a whole string of motias on my arm..just because.. he is Asim and I’m his mahiru.. forever InshAllah," she captioned the photos

After her wedding pictures, Mahira shared wonderful pictures from her mayun ceremony hosted by her friends. She shared pictures of herself a white suit with her mayun outfit hanging beside her

Mahira penned a note on Instagram and described the efforts taken by her mother, who is wheelchair-bound. The actress did a special gesture to pay tribute to her maternal and paternal grandmothers

She wrote, "My mother had one wish… to start the wedding with a dua. My beautiful Ama, who is in a wheel chair - one would think she can’t do much - but really, she can do everything and anything. She sat and managed the decoration downstairs, the table, the moving around of furniture anddd she was ready dot on time..Alhumdulillah for our parents"

Mahira added, "Later on that day, my childhood girlfriends had a mayun for me. Alhumdulillah for friends I can call my sisters. P.S I took a bud of the motia and put it in my baali before going down.. for my Nani and Dadi"

In the pictures, Mahira can be seen dressed in two outfits. One was a delicately embroidered powder blue churidar with an elegant and beautiful dupatta. The other outfit was orange in colour with a green border. She plucked buds of mogra and adorned her earrings with them

"So when I told my friends about the wedding… I also laid out a few ‘requests’. This is how they went - Me - Guys please I’m too old for dances, can we not have dances? Friends - No. we have to. M - Ok just one? F - Hell No. M - Ok please no dholkis before Bhurban. We should all just chill. F - talk to the (hand icon). As time came close and they all were over everyday.. I realised they just wanted to celebrate me and us. My childhood friends, work friends, my cousins… had seen it all with me - held me when I was down and clapped when I succeeded. I had done the same with them. To these insanely amazing humans I call family. I love you all so freaking much," she wrote
