In ‘Khakee’, Akshay Kumar plays a senior inspector alongside an ensemble cast that battles terrorism.

`Namastey London` is a story of a Punjabi boy and a British girl featuring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. He helps Katrina`s character, who struggles with her cultural identity.

In `Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty`, Akshay played the role of an Army officer. It is the remake of the Tamil film `Thuppakki`.

In the action spy thriller `Baby`, Akshay plays a secret agent who strives to eliminate terrorists. 

‘Airlift’ follows Ranjit Katyal, played by Akshay Kumar, a Kuwait-based businessman, as he carries out the evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Invasion of Kuwait by Saddam Hussein`s Iraq. 

In `Gold`, Akshay Kumar plays the role of Tapan Das, who won India its first gold medal at the 1948 Summer Olympics. 

‘Kesari’, a period drama, which featured Parineeti Chopra and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles, is based on the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi, where an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans.

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ was based on the real-life incident of Naval Officer K. M. Nanavati and businessman Prem Ahuja. 

Akshay Kumar`s `Bell Bottom` is based on the plane hijacks that took India by storm in the early 1980s. He plays the role of a RAW agent.

‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ shows Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff as soldiers who race against time to save India from an imminent attack by a vengeful scientist.
