Gabriella Wright

Gabriella Wright, a British-origin English actor-model, best known for playing Queen Claude of France in the series The Tudors, is set to star in an international feature film with an Indian production house, Falak Films Production.

Titled Eboni, the fantasy film revolves around a man obsessed with the idea of resurrecting his deceased daughter. In the process, he inadvertently evokes an ancient mystery. The movie will consist of three chapters, each of which is set in a different period. Wright will be seen in the titular role of Eboni, the goddess and ruler of a kingdom dating back to 950 BC. The makers are keen to cast international stars, apart from Indian actors like Manoj Bajpayee, and Kay Kay Menon. French actor Alix Benezech will also feature in the offering.

Written and directed by Imad Habib, produced by Sirajjudin Ansari and presented by Falak Films Production, the film is expected to go on floors soon. Ansari says, “Eboni is a fantasy, a genre that is appreciated by audiences worldwide, regardless of cultural and language barriers.”

Talking about the film, Wright says, “After my stint with historical fiction, I was keen on exploring this genre. When Imad narrated the script, it seemed like the story I was looking for. It will be very interesting to collaborate with this team, and work with artistes with diverse experiences.”
