Cardi B, an American singer, is facing a lawsuit for reportedly hurting a lady with a microphone during a 2023 performance at a Las Vegas beach club. According to Billboard, the woman, who has filed under the pseudonym Jane Doe, accuses the rapper of assault, battery, negligence, and emotional distress as a result of the incident.

The altercation occurred in July 2023, while Cardi was performing in the scorching heat. In viral footage from the day party, Cardi appeared to request that admirers throw water on her to cool her down. According to Billboard, Jane Doe alleges she followed this prompt by lightly throwing her drink at the rapper, as several audience members were doing. Cardi`s reaction, according to Doe, was both unexpected and violent.

"Multiple attendees responded in kind, throwing drinks toward the stage, several of which visibly reached Cardi B and the surrounding performance area," her attorneys said in the lawsuit filed on Monday, according to the article.
