Guy Ritchie to helm Young Sherlock starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin

Prime Video has ordered Young Sherlock, a thrilling original story of famed detective Sherlock Holmes, to series, starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin, according to The Hollywood Reporter.


Guy Ritchie, who helmed Sherlock Holmes (2009) and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), starring Robert Downey Jr in the title role, is set to direct and executive produce the upcoming series, which will have eight episodes. The adaptation is based on the Young Sherlock books by author Andy Lane. Tiffin, known for The Woman King (2022) and Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, will play the titular character in Young Sherlock. 


In a statement, Ritchie said, “In Young Sherlock, we’re going to see an exhilarating new version of the detective everyone thinks they know in a way they’ve never imagined before. We’re going to crack open this enigmatic character.”
