Performances are also decent enough to keep the audience engaged. Tim Story’s film appears to bank heavily on nostalgia to keep its audience in splits. While the antics don’t have newness or smarts, they probably have the appeal to get the younger generation interested.

An origin story of sorts for the cinemas, this screen adaptation of the classic Hanna-Barbera property shows us how Tom and Jerry meet up for the first time at the Prestigious Royal Gate Hotel in New York City and how their rivalry takes shape.

Freshly minted employee Kayla (Chloe Grace Moritz) has the unenviable task of getting rid of the rodent that has everyone squirming and screaming. The prestigious hotel is going to e the venue for a high profile wedding between Preeta ( Pallavi Sharda) and Ben (Colin Jost) and the owner DuBros (Rob Delaney) finds himself at his wits end. Kayla ropes in Jerry to do the annihilation and all hell breaks loose…as expected.
