Actor and politician Vijay has been making headlines ever since the Karur stampede that claimed over 40 lives. Days after the tragic incident, the Chennai Police received a bomb threat targeting actor Vijay’s residence in Neelankarai, Chennai. Reportedly, the police received the call from Kanyakumari on the emergency number 100. The caller warned that a bomb would be planted at Vijay’s home if he held any public meetings in the future. The Karur stampede occurred during a rally held by the TVK chief.

Security heightened at Vijay`s residence

According to reports, the police have launched an investigation and are currently tracing the caller’s exact location and identity. Meanwhile, security around Vijay’s house has been tightened. This is the second such bomb threat that the actor has received since the Karur stampede. The police had earlier received a similar threat on September 29.
