The much-awaited Rajinikanth starrer Coolie has hit theatres on Thursday, and fans across India are celebrating the release like a festival. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film also stars Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan and Aamir Khan in pivotal roles. Rajinikanth enjoys a massive fan following across India and the film’s release is celebrated with great fervour. From dancing to dhol beats to pouring milk on giant cutouts, fans go into a frenzy as flick releases.

Rajinikanth fans celebrate Coolie release

Social media is buzzing with visuals and videos of fans celebrating Rajinikanth's return to the big screen. In Chennai's Egmore, huge crowds gathered outside theatres for the first-day, first-show. The area was filled with posters, banners, and giant cutouts of the superstar.
