National award-winning composer GV Prakash has made headlines after a shocking incident came to light. The music composer and actor allegedly fell victim to an online fraud involving a fake financial appeal from a scammer. GV Prakash reportedly transferred Rs. 20,000 to an unverified user, who claimed to be his fan and made up a story of his mother's death. Soon after, several users warned him that the claim was not authentic. They even pointed out that the image shared by the scammer was an old one and had been taken from Google, thereby exposing the scam.

A few days ago, one such scammer on X (formerly Twitter) uploaded an image of a woman. He claimed that he was in desperate need of financial help after her mother died. He even tagged GV Prakash Kumar, asking for money.
