Kannada actor Mayur Patel has reportedly been taken into custody by the Bengaluru police in connection with a drunk driving case. A complaint was filed against him at the Hoysala Police Station, and the actor was taken into custody in the early hours of January 29, 2026.

Drunk Mayur Patel rams his speeding vehicle into a car

According to a report by Times Now, Mayur was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol when his speeding Fortuner SUV rammed into a parked car on the streets of Bengaluru. The accident occurred around 10 pm on Old Airport Road near the Commando Hospital signal in the city.  Patel rammed into a car waiting at the traffic signal. The rear-end collision resulted in a multi-car crash involving four other vehicles. Several vehicles, including a government car, were damaged in the incident. The authorities traced the trail of accidents back to the actor’s vehicle.
