Mohanlal-starrer Drishyam is among the most popular movie franchises in the country. The films, directed by Jeethu Joseph, were remade in multiple languages and became a part of pop culture. Now, Jeethu and Mohanlal are gearing up for the release of the third and final film in the franchise.

Mohanlal announces Drishyam 2 theatre release

While the film was initially scheduled for an April 2 release, the makers have now postponed it to May 21 amid the West Asia crisis. Days after postponing the film’s release, Mohanlal announced that Drishyam 2 will be hitting theatres for the first time. The film, which was released in 2021, had a direct-to-OTT release owing to the pandemic. The film performed well on OTT platforms but never had a theatrical release. Now, five years later, the makers have decided to give audiences a big-screen experience of Drishyam 2. The film will be released in theatres on April 10, 2026.
