When Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan missed its January 9 release date, a major box-office clash was averted. Prabhas’s Telugu drama The RajaSaab was also scheduled for a January 9 release. As Jana Nayagan failed to make it to the scheduled date, screens were allotted to The RajaSaab and Sivakarthikeyan’s Tamil drama Parasakthi, which released in theatres on January 10. Despite this advantage, both films are struggling at the box office.

The RajaSaab opened to mixed reviews, with several criticisms directed at the film, issues that were later addressed by the makers. However, owing to the hype surrounding the project, it managed a massive opening. Unfortunately, the film failed to sustain its momentum and has seen a steady dip in collections over the past few days.
