Following the resounding debut of 'Jailer' in cinemas, film icon Rajinikanth was seen paying a visit to the revered Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand. This was revealed in a video clip shared by Press Trust of India on Twitter At the temple, Rajinikanth warmly engaged with a multitude of excited fans.


The video clip from Press Trust of India shows Rajinikanth's arrival at the Badrinath Temple on Saturday. The superstar wore a light blue sweater and matching gloves, and greeted the camera and fans with smiles and waves. As he made his way up the temple stairs, several fans reached out, eager to touch the star. He shared a special moment with one fan by the entrance, greeting them with a smile. A security detail surrounded him and was constantly posted with the Tamil superstar, ensuring his safety.



Earlier, he was also spotted in the Himalayas on a spiritual trip after the release of 'Jailer,' as is his tradition with every film.

In light of the much-anticipated release of "Jailer" on Thursday, numerous institutions in southern India, including offices and educational establishments, announced a day off on August 10. One particular organization stated in its notification the reason being 'to prevent a surge in leave applications to the HR department'. Further emphasizing their support against piracy, the notice elaborated, “We also take the privilege of going the extra mile to support antipiracy by providing free tickets to employees...”

Speaking on the film's release, Tirupur Subramaniam, a notable film distributor and the leader of Tamil Nadu's Theatre Owners' Association, shared with PTI, "It is a Rajinikanth film. Of course, it will be ushered in with celebrations. We don't have fan shows any more like before, but that is not dampening the spirit of the fans. The movie is being shown in 900 screens across Tamil Nadu and all of them wear a festive look."

About "Jailer" Directed by Nelson, "Jailer" showcases Rajinikanth in the role of ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, a jailer determined to thwart a gang’s attempts to free their incarcerated leader. This film marks Rajinikanth's cinematic comeback after two years and also represents his inaugural collaboration with director Nelson Dilipkumar. The star-studded cast includes Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu, Mohanlal, and Jackie Shroff.
