The RajaSaab
Actor Prabhas’s The RajaSaab has finally hit theatres after a long wait. The horror-comedy drama has often been compared to Akshay Kumar’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa (itself a remake of the Malayalam classic Manichitrathazhu). Following the trailer launch, many viewers pointed out similarities between the two films, including the palace setting, a mysterious ghost, and a psychiatrist in the storyline. The makers of The RajaSaab have now put these speculations to rest by clarifying the comparisons.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, producer T.G. Vishwa Prasad refuted any similarities between The RajaSaab and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. He stated that Prabhas’s film is a full-fledged horror fantasy with a completely different narrative. “We had to design a fantasy keeping India’s biggest star in mind. So, it is significantly different in terms of visual elements as well as the background story,” he said.
