Anupam Roy has been married twice before. Following his separation from his first wife, he fell in love with Piya Chakraborty and married her in 2015. After almost a year, they have decided to legally marry on March 2, preferring a low-key ceremony with family and close friends, in contrast to an extravagant wedding.

After six years of marriage, Anupam and Piya announced their separation in 2021. There were speculations that a third person played a role in their divorce. Since the separation, Piya, Anupam's ex-wife, has been frequently linked with actor Parambrata Chatterjee. Despite Piya and Parambrata denying any romantic involvement and insisting on being good friends for a long time, they got legally married in November 2023.&nbsp;
Rumors had surfaced that Parambrata Chatterjee and Piya Chakraborty had tied the knot in secret. However, the actor had denied the reports at the time. When Piya and Anupam got divorced in 2021, it was said that she took the decision because of her relationship with Parambrata. However, the 'Aranyak' actor had denied it at the time, and has always maintained he is 'good friends' with Piya. He once told the media that he was quite upset with such rumours.
