Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is a period gangster drama, as hinted by its posters and teaser. Now, fresh details about the film’s plot have surfaced. The UAE distributor, Phars Film, has listed the storyline on its website.
According to Phars Film’s website, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is set in Goa and spans from pre-Independence India to the post-Independence era. The narrative begins in the early 1940s and continues until the 1970s.
