However, earlier this month, the makers announced that the film would not be released on the festive day and revealed a new date. With this, the makers avoided a clash with Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude, who also stars in Love Insurance Kompany.

On the occasion of Diwali, director Vignesh Shivan shared pictures from his celebration with his wife and actress Nayanthara, and their twins. Along with the happy family moments, he reflected on his film not releasing on Diwali and how it took away some of his happiness. The director began his note by revealing that it had been ten years since his film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which featured Nayanthara in the lead — the film where the two began falling in love.
