The 71st National Film Awards ceremony held in Delhi on September 23 was a star-studded one. The ceremony honoured film stars who have contributed to the industry over the years with their performances and experimental films. The National Awards were presented by President Draupadi Murmu in various categories, including Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Director. While Malayalam actor Mohanlal, who was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, and Shah Rukh Khan, who received Best Actor for Jawan, received thunderous applause from the audience, it was six-year-old Treesha Vivek Thosar who captured everyone's attention at the event.
Treesha Vivek Thosar walked up the stage dressed in a simple beige saree and won hearts with her innocence and charm. She received the Best Child Artist Award for her performance in the Marathi movie Naal 2. Interestingly, she shot the film when she was just turning three. Her smile, simplicity, and grace attracted the loudest applause at Vigyan Bhavan.
