Television actor Aly Goni recently found himself on the receiving end of backlash after a video of him not chanting `Ganpati Bappa Morya` in front of paparazzi during Ganpati celebrations in Mumbai went viral. He was seen attending the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations with his girlfriend, actress Jasmin Bhasin in the video. The incident quickly sparked controversy; however, the actor clarified his stance, saying his silence was not intentional. He explained that his actions stemmed from confusion and a respect for religious boundaries. However, seems like trolls haven`t slowed down despite his clarification.

Aly says he is receiving death threats

Aly has now revealed that he has been receiving death threats for not chanting `Ganpati Bappa Morya,` and that his emails are filled with threats. Even on his social media, the comments section is flooded with abusive messages. Talking to Filmygyan, he said, "Log tweet kar rahe hain ki mere liye FIR karo, for what? Main toh bohot normal si baat bolta hoon ki main toh Musalman hoon, isliye mere par daala gaya, par kai Hindu hain jo Ganpati nahi laate hain, kya woh Hindu nahi hain?"
