In a recent social media teaser shared by the channel, actor Amar Upadhayay is seen discussing "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" while travelling to the filming site. He confesses to being shocked when he was first contacted to return as Mihir Virani in the series.

Upadhyay stated in the video posted to its Instagram account, "I don`t believe it. Yeh ho raha hai, in fact. Kabhi socha nahi Season 2 is going to be a strategy and a shoot. It`s unreal. Laana ek saath sabko. Usko fir se laana bohot badi baat hoti hai (to bring everyone together. The show is truly iconic. The show is so renowned that its return is big.)

He further added, "Tanu had called me this time. We`re doing `Kyunki...Season 2`, so mark your dates. In order to believe hi nahi hua, mujhe pehle usne bataya. `Are you sure?` Maine kaha It must be a joke or something, Maine socha. "Is Smriti doing Tulsi?"
