Speaking exclusively to Mid-Day, she said, &ldquo;I was furious when she found out that hers is a gender-neutral name. I was named Anjum at birth, and trust me my family and relatives took pride in choosing my name. All was fine till I was in my teens and came across men who were named Anjum too. I was so furious when I found out that it&rsquo;s a gender-neutral name and anyone can be named Anjum, be it a boy or a girl. I wanted my name to be unique and not a common one and I hated it till I got to know the meaning of my name&rdquo;. &nbsp;
She continued, "So apparently, Anjum means &lsquo;a shining star&rsquo; in Arabic. I was thrilled to know this and have loved my name ever since. I sometimes quote myself saying &lsquo;main to bachpan se star hoon&rdquo;(smiles).&nbsp;&nbsp;Anjum Fakih can be currently seen in Ekta Kapoor's popular shows '<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/television-news/article/bade-achhe-lagte-hain-television-review-an-entertaining-and-sensitive-recreation-23192210?button=next" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2</a>' and '<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/television-news/article/kundali-bhagyas-dheeraj-dhoopar-wants-to-try-this-crazy-fashion-trend-23217947" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Kundali Bhagya</a>'.
