The memory of Vanraj and Kavya getting intimate in her bedroom is still fresh for Anupamaa, and on top of that the way he insulted her and said that she is not good enough for him makes it worse. But the way Kavya humiliated Vanraj, and asked him to leave her home is also very new for him. And this thought is disturbing him so much that he doesn`t even want to see Kavya or talk to her.

When Vanraj wakes up in the hospital, he sees Anupamaa sleeping on the sofa and calls her name, and asks her how she came there. Kavya sees this from outside the room, but the hospital management asks her to leave. Later, during visiting hours, she comes inside and hugs him, and Vanraj looks quite uncomfortable with her presence. He could see the visuals of her yelling at him and insulting him. When the doctor says that they can take Vanraj home, Kavya immediately says that he lives with her and she will take him along.
