Fans were devastated when word spread online that CID 2 will be taken off the air. Many assumed that the makers' decision to cancel the second season was due to dropping TRPs, but this was regarded just speculation until today. However, CID's renowned face, Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman, has now publicly stated that the makers are ending CID 2, which returned to television screens after a six-year hiatus.
According to GossipsTv, actor Shivaji Satam has revealed that CID 2 is going off broadcast. Despite the poor ratings, Shivaji stated that the current season's rhythm remained "unchanged" among the show's devoted viewers. He also discussed how the show's transition from TV screens to Netflix affected the numbers. When discussing the shifting scene, he stated, "The landscape has transformed, and now even a rating of 2 is considered a success."
