It’s the third week of Bigg Boss 15 and singer Afsana Khan has created quite a storm in the house which led to host Salman Khan and other contestants grilling her on Weekend Ka Vaar. Fiancé Saajz has now come up in support of Afsana and shares his thoughts with mid-day.com.
Having watched all the episodes what do you feel about everything happening on Bigg Boss 15?
Everything is perfect. Afsana is fighting for her rights and the truth. I hope she keeps fighting.
The contestants and host Salman Khan were upset with Afsana’s behavior on Weekend Ka Vaar…
Salman sir is a senior whom we have respected since childhood. We learn from him, I wouldn’t get upset if he scolds Afsana because his intentions are good. My only question is why is Afsana targeted, Vishal has said so much and doesn’t know how to speak to women. Shamita Shetty called Afsana ‘shit lady’, why was that not highlighted? I’m a little disappointed. I have been getting calls to appear on the show and if I go I would definitely highlight these points.
Did Afsana and you discuss how she will handle the pressure of the show?
Afsana’s behaviour on the show is totally different from reality. She is helpful and entertaining. She cannot hurt anyone because she is sensitive and pure hearted. When you torture a sensitive person, she will get aggressive and give it back. I had asked her how she will handle the show because she doesn’t know how to handle politics people play. May be she is behaving like this because she is lonely.
Do you feel Afsana has potential to reach the finale?
Definitely! It’s just that Afsana’s bad qualities are being highlighted instead of the good ones. In the first week, Jay Bhanushali and Pratik Sehajpal had said Afsana is entertaining. She is giving good masala on the show. Who better than a Punjabi to give content?
The violent incidents of Afsana tearing Akasa Singh’s shirt and your photo led to controversies…
Yes Akasa’s shirt buttons opened, but if Afsana was wrong why did Akasa hug her? Akasa repaired the photo because she knows Afsana has a good heart. Afsana apologised and pointed out Akasa already had two buttons open.
Is there anyone she can trust in the house?
She shouldn’t trust anyone and play according to her strategy. Besides the camera, there is no one she can call her own. Karan Kundrra paji is supporting her but everyone is there to play a game, Karan will not give his trophy to her.
What were the qualities that made you fall in love with her?
Afsana is dedicated and hardworking, she donates to the poor. She is ‘daler’ and that impressed me. She cares for me and my family despite her busy schedule. She returns from the studio at 3-4 am and is back at 9 am.

Afsana’s song with Jaani paji and B Praak featuring Emraan Hashmi is releasing soon, Salim-Suleiman made our pre-wedding song ‘Lakh Lakh Vadhayiian’. We will also be releasing duets together.
