Divyanka Tripathi
On the 79th Independence Day, the nation celebrates the air of freedom and expresses gratitude to the martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation. In an exclusive chat with mid-day, Divyanka Tripathi got candid about her NCC training and disciplined upbringing. As her father belongs to the Navy, the actress shared how she was trained and wanted to serve the nation by joining the Army.
Coming from an NCC army background, Divyanka revealed whether she was keen on choosing the path of serving the nation., "Yes, I genuinely wanted to step into army shoes. The discipline and the courage it took to be an officer fascinated me. But life had other plans, and I eventually became an actor. That dream, however, has never really left me. I have immense respect for those serving the nation, and whenever I’m near soldiers or standing on a training ground, I’m instantly taken back to what life could have been like had I made other choices. It’s always an overwhelming feeling."
Divyanka showcased her daredevil side in Khatron Ke Khiladi. She shared it was a blend of her training and family values, "It comes from a mix of my NCC training, which instilled self-belief and confidence, but also the upbringing I had, where my parents encouraged me to aim for the unachievable. Fear wasn’t something I grew up with. That mindset quietly nurtured a daredevil in me- like a hidden feature no one really knew about until Khatron Ke Khiladi. Every human being has layers, and this is one of mine that just happened to get revealed much later in life. I’m proud of it."
