Veteran actor Shivaji Satam, popularly known for his role as ACP Pradyuman in the detective television series CID, celebrates his 75th birthday on April 21. The Byculla-born became a favourite across generations with his iconic run in the show that even got him memes with dialogues like “Kuch To Gadbad Hai” and “Daya Darwaza Tod Do”. As Shivaji turns a year older, he speaks exclusively to Mid-day about plans for his special day, life lessons, and more. 

Shivaji Satam’s plans for his 75th birthday 

The Nayak actor says that his celebrations will be simple despite the milestone. He states, “A close family affair with lamp lighting in front of God and seeking blessings for everyone. My kids do everything at home, and the best part is a special hug from my 11-year-old grandson, Yuvan. My son is visiting from London, so all the more a very happy family get together.” When asked what his favourite food is to relish on this day, he adds, “Typical Maharashtrian varan bhaat toop (dal rice with ghee).”
