Known for her impactful screen presence, Jayati previously won audiences over with her portrayal of Sharda, a character viewers loved to hate. This time, however, she re enters the narrative in a completely new avatar as Shalini Batra.

The introduction of Shalini has already sparked intrigue among loyal viewers. While her past character Sharda left behind a strong impression, Shalini’s identity comes wrapped in mystery. Speaking about the role, Jayati shared that the character is still evolving within the storyline. “Right now, Shalini Batra’s character is being developed. I don’t know whether she is a positive or negative character. As the story progresses, Shalini Batra will continue to grow. I do know that she has returned from London and runs an NGO and an ashram where she takes care of underprivileged children. There is definitely a backstory to Shalini, and only time will tell whether Sharda and Shalini are the same person. That’s going to be interesting,” she revealed.
