Pooja Banerjee’s new look as Rhea in Kumkum Bhagya is inspired by Kalki Koechlin’s character, Sky, in Gully Boy (2019). “When I was told about Rhea’s persona after the leap, I immediately associated her with Sky. She is edgy, crazy and right,” says Banerjee. Bhumi Pednekar’s character in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017) and Parineeti Chopra’s in Jabariya Jodi (2019) has inspired Simran Pareenja’s role in Lakshmi Ghar Aayi, which goes on air today. “The two motivated girls to take a stand against evil practices,” says Pareenja, who takes a stand against dowry harassment in the drama.

The actress revealed how she had to run wearing a lehenga weighing 25 kilos for an upcoming sequence in the show. In the scene, Rhea is dressed as a bride for her wedding with Ranbir. While Pooja recalls dressing up in the heavy costume wasn't hard, running in the lehenga sure was!
