As the festive season fills the air with devotion and joy, Durga Puja stands out as one of the most awaited celebrations across the country. The grandeur of pandals, the fragrance of bhog, the rhythm of dhaak, and the blessings of Maa Durga bring people together in a spirit of strength, positivity, and togetherness. Actress Megha Ray, who plays Divya in Sun Neo’s show Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, shared her heartfelt memories and thoughts about this special festival. 

Megha speaks about the festive season of Durga Puja 

While speaking about Durga Puja, she says, “Being a Bengali, Durga Puja has always been very special to us. We’ve always celebrated it in its fullest glory. Although observing a Navratri fast is not exactly part of our culture, my mother has adapted to the customs of the place she lives in, and she has been keeping the Navratri fast for a while now. Watching her do it alone, I often felt the urge to give her company. In fact, my very first Navratri fast was during the COVID lockdown. Since I was at home with her all day, I wanted to accompany her, and that’s where it started. This year, I’m not doing the nine-day fast, but I’ll still celebrate in whatever little way I can, given my shoot schedule. My most special memory will always be that first nine-day fast I kept just to give my mother company.”
