Actor and comedian Satish Shah has passed away. His manager Ramesh confirmed the news with mid-day. He said, “He passed away around 2.00 - 2.30 pm today (October 25).” When asked about the cause of death, he revealed that the actor had gone through kidney transplant a few months ago and was not keeping well. “The family is still planning the funeral as he has not been discharged yet.”
Veteran actor Satish Shah has enjoyed a prolific career spanning over four decades across film and television. A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, he began his journey in the late 1970s and quickly became one of India’s most beloved character actors. He is best remembered for his impeccable comic timing in films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1994), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Main Hoon Na (2004), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), and Om Shanti Om (2007). Over the years, he has appeared in more than 200 films, often playing memorable supporting or comic roles that have become integral to Hindi cinema’s humour landscape.
