What began as a simple mention of language on Wheel of Fortune soon led to a pleasant and memorable exchange between Akshay Kumar and contestants Vidhi Bharani, Riwaj Ghimire, and Nilam Rajput.
<h2>Akshay Kumar shares his Sindhi connection</h2>
During a casual interaction, contestant Vidhi mentioned that she is <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sunday-mid-day/article/songs-of-sindh-why-more-sindhi-musicians-are-releasing-songs-in-their-language-today-23562453" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Sindhi</a>. The moment Akshay Kumar heard that, he instantly said, &ldquo;Mujhe Sindhi bahut hi pyaari bhasha lagti hai.&rdquo;&nbsp;
This followed as he shared a funny story about how he once called his Sindhi friend at home. When his friend&rsquo;s mother answered the phone and he asked if his friend was there, she replied, &ldquo;Soya pada hai, uthaun uss ko.&rdquo; For a second, Akshay misheard it as &ldquo;mara pada hai,&rdquo; which left him completely shocked. The audience burst into laughter as Akshay dramatically reenacted the moment.
Adding to it, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/bollywood-news/article/akshay-kumar-evokes-mystic-horror-in-new-bhooth-bangla-motion-poster-23618095" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Akshay Kumar</a>&nbsp;revealed that his mother knew Sindhi very well and most of her close friends were Sindhi. He shared how she would often play cards with them. As he spoke about those memories, the tone turned warm and heartfelt.&nbsp;
The mood turned sweeter when Vidhi asked Akshay Kumar if she could say something in Sindhi. She then said, &ldquo;Mokhe taam se jaam pyaar aa,&rdquo; and explained that it meant 'I love you.'
Not one to miss a chance to keep the fun alive, Akshay turned to a lady in the audience and asked her to say &ldquo;I love you&rdquo; in Marwadi. When she adorably fumbled, Akshay teased that it seemed she didn&rsquo;t say it very often, bringing the house down with laughter.
<h2>Akshay shares Twinkle Khanna's PhD story&nbsp;</h2>
In the episode, contestant Ashu Jain shared that she completed her Master of Technology (MTech) at the age of 44, began her PhD at 47, and completed it at 53. That reminded Kumar of his wife and author <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/bollywood-news/article/akshay-kumar-jokes-about-celebrating-valentines-day-with-twinkle-khanna-23617323" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Twinkle Khanna</a>, who pursued a Master&rsquo;s programme in fiction writing at Goldsmiths, University of London, in 2022. She completed the programme in January 2024 at the age of 50. Kumar said, &ldquo;Inhe dekh kar mujhe meri wife ki yaad aa gayi. My wife also completed her Master&rsquo;s programme when she was 50 years old, and now she wants to pursue her PhD as well. You ladies are great.&rdquo;
