Rubina and Abhinav competed with other couples like Debinna-Gurneet, Avika-Milind, Swara-Fahad, Hina-Rocy among several others. After winning the show, the couple jointly said, “Dhamaal With Pati Patni Aur Panga was a superb way for us to spend time together without life rushing by us."

They admitted, "As a couple, we’re far from perfect, and we, along with other couples, were very candid about our blind spots, and that was super liberating. Winning this trophy is extremely special; it’s the result of all the love we’ve received from the viewers and the supportive spirit of every couple who made this journey so much fun. We want to thank the channel and the makers of this show for creating a space that was honest, warm, and full of heart."

Talking about their fairytale love story, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla worked together in Chhoti Bahu, but they did not fall in love on the sets of the show.

Rubina met Abhinav at a common friend`s Ganpati in 2015, and the latter fell head over heels in love with the gorgeous actress. Abhinav gushed over the actress and had said, "What got us together is the fact that we are both thinkers, hardcore travelers and fitness freaks. It`s always good to be with someone who adds value to your life."

"It all started with a photo shoot. He commented on one of my pictures--will you give me the privilege to shoot you? And I was wondering, whos this guy?" Rubina said in an interview.

At the grand premiere of Pati Patni Aur Panga, actress Rubina Dilaik spoke about how her husband Abhinav Shukla kept her waiting for nine months for their marriage proposal.

Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla walked down the aisle on June 21, 2018. The couple had a lavish destination wedding in Shimla and Ludhiana. It was a beautiful event in the presence of the couple’s families and friends.

Interestingly, the couple also penned their own wedding vows. Rubina told BT, “We had our own version of the seven vows, which Abhinav has written beautifully. Each vow touched my heart deeply."

However, the two were contemplating taking a divorce in 2020, and Rubina had shared how their marriage was going through a rough patch. The same year, Rubina and Abhinav participated in Bigg Boss 14, where their relationship strengthened once again. 

Talking about their differences, Abhinav had said, “See, there were things. We are two very strong individuals. We have very strong opinions aur dono ki soch aapne toh dekh hi liya hoga Bigg Boss mein, alag-alag hai. Toh jab woh soch clash hoti hai, sparks fly."

Talking about their strained relationship, Rubina had confirmed on the show, saying, “We had given each other time till November, we were about to get divorced. Had we not come on this show, we wouldn’t have been together.

In November 2023, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla were blessed with twin baby girls – Jeeva and Edhaa.
