Gaurav Khanna, born December 11, 1981, is an acclaimed Indian television actor, admired for versatile roles. He has been a celebrated name in the Indian television industry for nearly two decades. He has appeared in numerous fiction and reality shows.

He completed his education at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur and later completed his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Mumbai. He worked as a marketing manager in an IT firm for nearly a year before starting his acting career.

Hailing from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Gaurav was raised in a close-knit, middle-class family. His father, Vinod Khanna, works as an exporter, and his mother, Shashi Khanna, has played a pivotal role in supporting his ambitions.

Gaurav made his television debut with shows like Bhabhi and Kumkum Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, eventually rising to national fame with his acclaimed performance as Senior Inspector Kavin in CID.

Gaurav Khanna and Yami Gautam starred together in the popular TV show Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam, where their on-screen chemistry was widely appreciated. The show marked one of Yami’s early TV successes.

He owns a red Audi A6 and a green Royal Enfield Classic 350 bike. Gaurav also surprised his wife, Akanksha, with a mid-size SUV worth approximately Rs 21 lakhs.

As per reports, Gaurav has an estimated net worth of around Rs 8 crore.

In 2021, Gaurav became a household name after playing the role of Anuj Kapadia in Anupamaa, the popular Star Plus serial headlined by Rupali Ganguly.

However, his abrupt exit from the show left all shocked. Many even believed he called it quit because of Rupali Ganguly.

Apart from acting, Gaurav has also showcased his culinary skills, winning Celebrity MasterChef India in 2025. Interestingly, he revealed his color-blindness while on the show.

In Bigg Boss 19, Khanna is reportedly one of the highest-paid contestants this season, with estimates indicating he earns around Rs 17.5 lakh per week, roughly Rs 2.5 lakh per episode.
