Adaptations always run a risk of immense scrutiny especially if the original has been a blockbuster. However, one cannot deny that a Hindi version of Dix Pour Cent (Call My Agent), the French show, is perfect for the Indian market that is crazy about Bollywood. 

The Netflix show, Call My Agent: Bollywood revolves around a team of casting agents and managers hustling every day for their celebrity clients. Aahana Kumra believes that the six-episode series will work wonderfully in India because of the “thriving film industry”. “In India, there is little to no understanding of the work of an agent. It’s a sort of a managerial structure here,” she says, adding that when she was called for the show, “they recommended that I watch the original to get the tone of the character”.
