After a more than four-year wait, ‘Made in Heaven’ returns with a new season. The Zoya Akhtar-Reema Kagti series stars Shobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur in key roles. While many anticipated that the show would help their careers, Arjun confessed that the outcomes fell well short of their expectations.

During the promotion of his new series ‘Made in Heaven 2’, Arjun Mathur, in conversation with Indian Express.com, shared if the web series' success had a positive influence on his career and said, "Not as much as I would have liked it to be." He further continued and said, "It may be partly because of the fact... Made in Heaven is amazing at it is, but the concept, even being mass, is niche. It is also 80 percent in English. So it doesn’t make you a household or bankable name. But the journey has been amazing; it even got me an International Emmy nomination, and I have a certificate and medal in my living room that I ironically look at every day."

The actor who played the homosexual character Karan later talked about how his character had touched many. The actor shared, "Honestly, I was not prepared for the way Karan would touch tangible human lives; I just didn’t anticipate it. There were so many people who reached out to me, it was heartening. I remember there was this mother of two young boys. She told me how she was uncomfortable with homosexuality before watching the show. She said now if one or both of them turn out to be gay, I will accept it with an open heart and give them twice the love. Also, when I was in Chicago, this couple who had recently gotten married travelled from far to meet me. They said that their parents were against it but agreed after watching Made in Heaven."

On the work front, Arjun Mathur was last seen in  'Jugaadistan'. His upcoming series, ‘Made in Heaven 2’ which also stars Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora, and Shivani Raghuvanshi in pivotal roles, will drop on Amazon Prime Video on August 10.
