Rashmi Agdekar is all set to woo the audience with her character Chandni in the second season of most-talked-about web show Dev DD. For the uninitiated, the show is produced Ekta Kapoor's new-age retelling of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel Devdas. In Dev DD, Rashmi's character Chandni is based on the character Chunnilal in Sara Chandra's original creation. In the web series, which first dropped in 2017, the character is a lesbian.

Sharing her views on homosexuality in the country, Rashmi Agdekar told us, "I feel, if people are more empathetic if they are more sensitive towards any other human, these things would be easier to eradicate from our society but since this has been going for ages and generations, I feel we are still far far away from that but there is obviously a lot of dialogue that is happening around sexuality and homosexuality, which is a good thing and I feel that the coming generations will be more accepting about it. So yeah, I feel that the best way to deal with this is that we talk about it, in a sensible way and we empathize towards one another."

On the work front, Rashmi Agdekar did remarkable acting in Rasbhari, ImMature, and a limited three-episode YouTube series The Interns which was very well received by people, Awkward Conversations with Girlfriend and now has Dev DD2 as her upcoming web series.

Her upcoming Dev DD season 2 will stream on Alt Balaji and Zee5 from February 20. The series gives an unconventional twist to the Devdas storyline rendering gender reversals. In the show, Devdas is Devika, played by Asheema Vardaan. Akhil Kapur plays Parth (Paro) while Sanjay Suri is Anurag (Chandramukhi).
