Saare Jahan Se Accha has been Kritika Kamra’s only release of 2025. But that doesn’t rattle the actor. Looking forward to opening 2026 with Nagraj Manjule’s web series Matka King, she says that she chooses quality over visibility. “I have never been interested in being part of the rat race or doing projects just to stay visible. For me, every role should have purpose and depth. I would rather wait for [a project] that challenges me than do something that doesn’t add value to my journey,”
she shares.

Kamra’s transition from television to OTT came with a clear vision of the stories she wanted to be a part of. That reflects in her past outings — be it Bheed (2023) or Gyaarah Gyaarah (2024) — and she hopes it continues in her forthcoming projects, Matka King and the yet-untitled film with director Anusha Rizvi. “I take my time before saying yes to a project. I look for roles that have something substantial to offer. I want to work with people who help me grow as an actor, which is why the projects with Nagraj sir and Anusha are such memorable experiences.”
