Halloween is observed on October 31 every year. It is a holiday that blends ancient traditions, cultural practices, and modern festivities. From spooky costumes to trick-or-treating, this occasion draws people together, invoking a sense of community while embracing the thrill of all things eerie and supernatural.
The roots of Halloween can be traced back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of harvest season and the onset of winter. The Celts believed that on the night of October 31st, the boundary between the living and the dead was blurred, allowing spirits to roam the earth. To ward off these roaming spirits, they would light bonfires and wear costumes, often made from animal skins and heads.
