Curated by Rahman, the exclusive set will reunite the “guru brothers” in a magical homage to their mentor
The enduring musical legacy of Padma Vibhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan will be celebrated through the fourth edition of Haazri, an annual tribute lovingly curated by his family and disciples.
This year’s edition is set to be truly special. In a never-before-seen collaboration, four of his most illustrious protégés—AR Rahman, Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, and Shaan—will come together on one stage. Curated by Rahman, the exclusive set will reunite the “guru brothers” in a moving and magical homage to their revered mentor.
Scheduled for January 17 at Jio World Garden, Bandra Kurla Complex, the event coincides with Ustad ji’s barsi (death anniversary).
Rahman, who performed a Sufi concert at ‘Haazri’ this year, says, “This will be my second consecutive homage to my guru and I am so excited about it. This time around, I’ll curate a very special set in his honour and remembrance. I am looking forward to taking the stage with Hariharan, Sonu Nigam and Shaan.”
