Every year, the Chinese community in Mumbai comes together to celebrate New Year`s Eve, which is among their biggest celebrations, in a city that boasts of so many different cultures. This year, they celebrated it at midnight on February 17

Over the years, many Mumbaikars have been visiting Dockyard`s Kwang Kung temple, which is said to be the only Chinese temple in Mumbai, to witness the celebrations. 

Every year, the audience has only been increasing and this year was no different as hundreds of Mumbaikar`s gathered in a quiet street to bring in the New Year

Many of them came along with the two heritage walk groups highlighting the culture of the Chinese community, as they joined in the celebrations, along with onlookers, who whipped out their cameras and mobile phones to capture the unique moments

Peter Paul Liu, who joins in the dragon dance every year, performed once again with his family, showcasing their culture not music and dance

The Chinese New Year celebrations will continue for two weeks till March 3, as many people from the community, not only in Mumbai but around India come together to celebrate the festival
