The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic: SOPHIE Kinsella is best known for her first novel in the Shopaholic series, later adapted into a film, Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009), starring Isla Fisher and Hugh Darcy. The protagonist Rebecca (Becky) Bloomwood is a journalist and advises her readers on financial matters. Ironically, she has trouble managing her own shopping addiction.
