According to GRP sources, Sisodia, who deals in torn, old, and demonetized notes through the Reserve Bank, was contacted by his agent Manoj regarding a customer, Omkar Manchekar, who allegedly possessed Rs 7 lakh worth of Rs 2,000 demonetised notes

A currency exchange businessman from Bhayander was allegedly robbed of Rs 4.5 lakh in broad daylight at Borivli station on Thursday. The incident took place inside a halted local train at platform 1, when a group of men, under the pretext of exchanging notes, attacked him and fled with the cash.
According to the Government Railway Police, the complainant, identified as Ganesh Subhash Chandra Sisodia, runs a business of exchanging old and torn currency notes through the Reserve Bank. Sisodia had gone to the station to meet a prospective customer, Omkar Manchekar, who claimed he wanted to exchange old Rs 2000 notes worth Rs 7 lakh.
