A 45-year-old man who was blacklisted by Saudi Arabia in 2019 was caught by the police while attempting to fly to the West Asian country from Mumbai airport. The accused was travelling with an Indian passport made using forged documents from Lucknow.

The accused has been identified as Mohamad Tahir, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, who had been working in Saudi Arabia since 2011. In 2019, he was blacklisted by the country and returned to India. The Sahar police have arrested Tahir and begun an investigation into the matter.

According to police officials, the incident occurred on August 1, when Mohamad Tahir attempted to board flight number QP-567 to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The complainant is Ganesh Gawali, an immigration officer at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai.
