A British national who was a&nbsp;&nbsp;broadcast engineer, associated with the BCCI was found dead at a hotel in south <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/fire-breaks-out-at-sion-hospitals-orthopedic-opd-in-mumbai-no-injuries-reported-23623432" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai</a>, the police said, adding that so far nothing suspicious has been found.
According to the police, the 76-year-old British citizen was identified as Jan William Langford. He was found unconscious at the hotel in Mumbai on the morning of March 30, 2026.
Langford, a broadcast engineer associated with BCCI and IPL, was immediately taken to Bombay Hospital, where he was declared dead, a senior Mumbai <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/tarot-card-reader-extortion-case-four-more-held-by-aarey-police-in-mumbai-probe-ongoing-say-officials-23623429" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Police</a> official said.
<h2>Investigation</h2>
A post-mortem examination has been conducted.
An official said that nothing suspicious was found at the scene. The case has been registered as Unnatural Death at the Marine Drive Police Station. Further enquiries are ongoing.
DCP Zone 1, Dr Pravin Mundhe, said that the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/digital-arrest-case-69-year-old-mumbai-man-held-hostage-online-for-25-days-by-cyber-fraudsters-duped-of-rs-1-57-crore-23623424" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">investigation</a> is underway.
