A dog has been taken away and three mobile phones stolen from the residence of Anusha Srinivas Iyer at Four Bungalows in Andheri West. The family believes three men whom they had employed are responsible for the theft. Iyer, who lives with her mother Krishnaveni Srinivasan and two children, said, “We host many rescued animals and Kunju (the stolen dog) is one of them. He is elderly, blind in one eye and has cataract in the other. He requires a lot of medical attention.”

Six months ago, needing more house help at their residence, Iyer contacted Shankar Shahi, who got the family in touch with three men —Tilak Pariyar, Vicky Pariyar, and Sandesh Bishwakarma. Based on CCTV footage, the family suspects their involvement in the theft. “One of them had asked me to relieve them of their duties, saying they wanted to quit, and I was okay with it. I told him to work till November 10, when I would give him his salary. But they stole Kunju and the phones before that and fled.”
