The Vasai Railway Police have detained a constable after he allegedly molested a woman inside a moving Virar-bound train on Saturday in an inebriated state.

According to officers privy to the development, the 32-year-old accused constable was in uniform when he committed the crime.

The constable allegedly touched the woman inappropriately and began checking train tickets of the passengers on the women’s second-class compartment.
