Police raid Govandi clinics, arrest two bogus doctors without licence

Mumbai Police Crime Branch Unit 6, in coordination with BMC health officials, raided two illegal clinics in Govandi-Shivajinagar, arresting two people for practising medicine without a licence. A large quantity of medicines, injections, syringes, and other medical equipment was seized

In a swift action, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch’s Unit 6, in coordination with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) health officials, raided two illegal clinics in the Shivajinagar area of Govandi and arrested two men for practising medicine without proper qualifications.
The accused, identified as Rajiv Kapildev Rajan (34) and Kuberanath Gomti Yadav (56), were allegedly examining patients and administering treatments, including injections and antibiotics, while charging hefty consultation fees. Neither of them possessed a valid medical degree, licence, or registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council.
