Mumbai Police seizes over Rs 36 cr worth of heroin in multi-state crackdown

Police have arrested six men and three women. In total, 8.832 kg of heroin worth Rs 36.55 crore has been seized and recovered Rs 8.26 lakh in cash, one car worth Rs 10 lakh and 12 mobile phones worth Rs 1.40 lakh

In one of the largest narcotics crackdowns this year, the Pydhonie Police have busted a major heroin trafficking racket operating in Mumbai and other states, seizing drugs and assets worth Rs 36.7 crore and arresting nine people, including three women, officials said.

The case dates back to December 16, 2025, when police intercepted two men outside Loha Bhavan on P D’Mello Road in Masjid area of south Mumbai.
