Two Punjab natives held with heroin worth Rs 15.36 lakh in Navi Mumbai

An FIR has been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, a police officer said. Authorities are now investigating the source of the heroin and working to identify the intended recipients of the seized drugs

Police in Navi Mumbai have seized heroin worth Rs 15.36 lakh from a lodge in the CBD-Belapur area and arrested two men from Punjab, officers said on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, the anti-narcotics cell raided a room at the lodge on July 5.
During the operation, they apprehended Pramjitsingh Mahindarsingh (29) from Kapurthala and Sukhvinder Dara Singh (35) from Tarn Taran, reported news agency PTI.
